The rise of technology and an absolutely normal international conference

It seems that in the last decade technology has developed at a faster pace than ever before. From smartphones to IoT, wearables, augmented reality, AI and machine learning, the world is massively changing. Take a look at just how far we’ve come in 2018, we have even managed to send cars into space.

To keep up with the latest breakthroughs and IT developments and also celebrate the positive aspects that technology advancements present for humanity, I too want to invite you to a different trip, right here on Earth.

As promised, Press on Security will start covering national and international conferences on technological innovations, security threats, data privacy and data protection as well as many other topics of interest in the payments, security and technology industries. Keen on keeping a close relationship with the tech community, the first event that will be covered on the blog is DevExperience, an absolutely normal international IT conference, which is now on its 3rd edition.

DevExperience allows IT professionals from all over the world to bring their real and valuable input to the software community in Romania. It is structured as a training event where experienced people share the latest in best practices, tools and technology with the local community that is eager to learn and improve. Each edition tackles a range of topics that are at the forefront of the industry. Currently, the conference, workshops and community events include almost 400 participants and over 20 international speakers who are eager to share their expertise.

What’s new compared to previous editions?

An innovation of this edition is represented by Digital Signage, a modern multimedia solution brought over by XSIGN. It’s meant to enhance the experience of being part of the event through components such as Live event agenda, Social wall, Event gamification, Partners wall, Live Q&A, Event registration and Quick surveys. This way, participants can, at any time, have instant access to useful information and can be an integral part of the event, through social media, using the Q&A system and the survey system.

When & Where?

The conference will take place on April 23rd at the International Hotel in Iasi, Romania, starting with 9:00 a.m. The event will be closing at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by the traditional Geek Party. According to the organizers, DevExperience will bring together professionals from all over the world who have key positions in some of the largest IT and technology companies.

Topics to be addressed range from “Don’t waste time on learning cryptography: better use it properly” to “Machine Intelligence at Google” and “There is no valid ‘It is secure’ statement. Only ‘It has not been broken yet’”.

With such great topics and talented speakers and IT professionals that can share their experiences and best practices, we are looking forward to what the conference might bring.

I’ll keep you posted with all the fun and exciting things we come across at the events we cover.
